Here are some Interesting Answers about Swine Flu H1N1
Is Swine Flu is really an Epidemic ?

I believe no.
Just here in Tennessee, some 8,000 people died last year from complications due to "regular" flu. That is more than 3 times the number of Worldwide deaths so far from H1N1.
Maybe I am paranoid, but I worry about how various Government agencies want to take advantage of this Flu strain. The French Gov't has already been making noises about being able to hold people without charge or trial to "protect" the populus from H1N1

The definition of "epidemic" is sufficiently vague that one could make a case either way. I suppose it is subjective, which is why it has been such a successful bugaboo for the media.
So far, WHO estimates that 2800 people have died from h1n1.
Malaria, a single disease, kills 2-3 MILLION people every year (linked below), as much as a thousand times more deadly. Why are the same people not talking about malaria? Is malaria not an epidemic?
I hope each of us decides for themselves, with a critical (not jaundiced) eye.
